Why we are building YaPi
Checking a customer's screenshot is slow and easy to fool. YaPi is being built so that shops, with or without a POS, hear each payment in Burmese once the bank has confirmed it.
What we are working towards
- Payment announcements anyone can understand: confirmed by the bank and spoken in Burmese
- One device for shops without a POS: the cashier types the amount on the soundbox keypad
- The same device for shops with a compatible POS, which sends the amount itself
- Clear payment records for shop owners, cashiers and branches
Where we are
We're preparing our first pilot. YaPi is not on sale yet, and we'll announce pricing before the pilot.
Not a bank
YaPi is not a bank or a wallet. Payments and settlement are handled by licensed banks.
