For banks and POS companies
The bank handles merchant approval, MMQR and settlement; YaPi provides the device, notifications and merchant software.
Model A: the bank settles, YaPi never holds funds
Customers pay with their bank or wallet app. The licensed bank or payment provider settles the money directly to the shop's account. YaPi is not a bank or a wallet, and it never holds merchant or customer money.
For each payment, YaPi receives the bank's confirmation and turns it into the soundbox's Burmese announcement and the shop's records.
We will name partner banks once agreements are signed.

Who does what
What the bank does
- Approves merchants and keeps their accounts
- Issues the MMQR codes that shops take payment with
- Settles each payment to the shop's account
- Confirms each payment to YaPi
What YaPi does
- Provides the YaPi Soundbox, which announces bank-confirmed payments in Burmese
- Provides the merchant software for payment records, devices and branches
- Connects compatible POS systems, so the amount and the result pass between the POS and the soundbox
- Never holds money, and never treats a screenshot as proof of payment
POS companies
Your POS sends the amount and order, and gets bank-verified status back. The QR shows only on the paired soundbox.
